Behind a restrained Camden frontage, The Workshop opens into approximately 3,300 sq ft of adaptable space with remarkable volume and light.

Henning Stummel rebuilt the former furniture workshop within its original footprint, retaining an industrial language while introducing extensive glazing, electrically operated rooflights and a dramatic gallery walkway. Lisa Shell Architects later adapted the building for studio use.

The principal level centres on a plywood kitchen set against polished concrete floors, with a sitting room and wood-burning stove nearby. Three bedrooms occupy the rear and mezzanine levels, including a principal suite with an en suite bathroom and dressing room.
